New Arkansas Law Targets CDL Drivers Lacking English Proficiency
Starting immediately, Arkansas will fine CDL drivers $500 if they are found unable to communicate in English during inspections.
This enforcement is based on longstanding FMCSA rules but is now being actively implemented at the state level.
These violations may be reportable to FMCSA and impact your company’s safety score.
At CellEx Consulting Group, we urge all carriers to:
Review hiring procedures
Provide language support and documentation
Prepare drivers for multi-state inspections
Let’s ensure safety without exclusion.
